Thinksy Introduction

What is Thinksy?

Thinksy is an app for mock-ups. You can use any line drawing that you have a pattern for, that you draw or that you take a screenshot of online.

Since you can use any line drawing, the design possibilities are endless. Use it to mock-up your favorite color-blocked kids tee, your quilt block where you are undecided about color placement or show your client what their custom pants are going to look like.

Are there other apps out there that do the same thing? NO! We haven’t seen anything on the market today that is as user friendly as Thinsky. Our kids can even use it after a 60 second tutorial. We come from a design background and have ALL the apps; Photoshop, Illustrator, Ibis Paint, InDesign etc. None of them are as quick as Thinsky at showing you the possibilities of your project AND you don’t have to use LAYERS! Can we say that again? NO LAYERS!

If you’ve had trouble before figuring out mockup tutorials or even if they haven’t been THAT difficult for you, Thinksy is for you.

Simply take a photo or screenshot of your line drawing and upload it to Thinsky. Do the same for your fabrics. Then place your fabrics where you want them. You can scale, rotate and move your patterns around as well as fill with your own fabric photos or just pick from solid colors.

See how much fun you can have switching, changing and then changing back using the Chalk and Notch Waterfall Raglan? Which do you like the best? Do some combinations just not match at all? Now you can see how everything looks together before you even cut anything out.

Some days we prefer designing in Thinksy to actually sewing the real thing. No cutting patterns, fabric or getting out all the supplies. No mess and you still get to have all the fun and satisfaction! So now that you know all about what Thinksy is, let’s get started with all the nitty gritty details of HOW to use it.
